Hello all!

My name's Liam, I'm 25 and from sunny old England. Ive been playing Xonotic (CTS) for about 4 months now and am really enjoying the game so figured I should probably introduce myself as I plan on sticking around for the foreseeable future. I have ventured into the realms of minsta and was on the receiving end of some pretty brutal beat downs but I haven't been swayed and fully intend on getting some practice in (if anyone fancies using me as a punch bag on a semi regular basis let me know) I was actually an avid quake 3 fan so I'm not new to the genre, I just need to dust off the cobwebs and work on that twitch aim aside from the 2 modes I've mentioned I haven't given anything else a go but CTF was always a favourite of mine in q3 so will be looking to jump on for some soon. Is it predominantly pickup based or are there plenty of pub games, I haven't really looked to be honest!? Look forward to seeing you server side, peace!

Hi and welcome! To get into the vanilla game mechanics quickly, check out the Newbie Corner. There are some regular CTF matches happening in the evenings CET on DCC CTF, but unfortunately not every evening. But chances are that if you announce "DCC CTF TIME" on #xonotic.pickup at quakenet IRC, some people will join. Plus if you're already there, you can monitor what pickup games are being organized :o)
