Hello Xonotic !

Hi guys, after hearing a lot about it I'm going to give this game a try,
I'm using a pretty old pc so maybe I won't be able to play seriously but I thought I'd introduce myself anyway.
I usually play Quake and Danmakus games, and I used to play Warsow for some times.
Well, I'll wait for my download to end and try tro play right away (:

The pc I usually play with could handle most recent fps games but it wont work anymore, so I'm playing with, I'm guessing, 10 year old computer, maybe more.
I tried setting all games effects to lowest, picmip to maximum, dropped game resolution, and I can play with 30 fps...
What setting could I tweak that would make it a bit better ?
I really thought the game wouldn't be so gluttonous, especially when I see how good quake can play on this pc.

I guess I have to ask; which quake?

Both Quake 3 and Quake Live run perfectly, but also Warsow and Openarena. Oh and Urban Terror. Thats why I'm kinda amazed that Xonotic would have so much trouble to run smoothly.

Hmm funny I had a mac 2010 and got lag with warsaw yet no problems with xonotic.
